Remarks from community leaders

Hon. Kenneth Tumuhamye,
Secretary, District Social Services Committee,
Kanungu District Local Government.
On behalf of Kanungu District Local Government , I have the honour to recommend Sparrow Community Foundation, a duly registered community-based and led organization that has been instrumental in advancing IT inclusion,
scholarships, training, employment, skills development, and inclusive growth for rural communities in Greater Kanyantorogo and other sub counties in Kanungu District.
Sparrow Community Foundation's mission and vision align perfectly with our district's strategic development plan, as both prioritize sustainable development, social inclusion, and economic empowerment.
The innovative approach of Pastor Samuel and his team to community development has made a tangible impact on the lives of our people, particularly the youth and vulnerable populations.
Indeed, Sparrow’s initiatives in IT inclusion will bridge the digital divide, provide access to technology and digital literacy training, thereby enhancing employability and entrepreneurship
opportunities for our people. The scholarship and training programs will equip our community members with essential skills, enabling them to compete favorably in the job market.
What sets Sparrow Community Foundation apart is their commitment to community-led development, ensuring that solutions are tailored to the specific needs and context of the local beneficiaries.
Their collaborative approach has fostered partnerships with local stakeholders, amplifying impact and promoting sustainability.
I highly recommend Sparrow Community Foundation to anyone seeking a reliable and effective partner in community development.
Their dedication, expertise, and passion for inclusive growth make them an invaluable asset to our district.
We commit to continue supporting and collaborating with Sparrow Community Foundation to build a brighter future for our communities.

Partnering for Prosperity: Centenary Bank and Sparrow Community Foundation
My name is Kasaija Brian, and I am the Branch Manager of Centenary Bank’s
Kihihi branch, the largest indigenous bank in Uganda with a mission to serve the
rural poor and improve their quality of life.
I had the pleasure of meeting Pastor Samuel when he visited our Kihihi branch in
Kanungu District, seeking banking services for his IT company, which was
establishing its footprint in this region. His decision to move from the city to a
rural area piqued my interest and prompted me to learn more about his activities.
I was deeply impressed by Pastor Samuel’s humility, character, and his
unwavering commitment to uplifting the rural community of Kanungu. His efforts
to provide employment opportunities and enhance the standards of living
resonated deeply with me, as they align perfectly with the mission of Centenary
Bank.
With over 15 years of experience in the banking sector, I have always been
passionate about working in rural settings. It has been my long-standing desire to
see people prosper, and I believe that meaningful development starts with
empowering individuals in their own communities.
Centenary Bank shares this vision and has been dedicated to supporting rural
development through accessible banking services and financial inclusion. Our
partnership with the Sparrow Community Foundation is a testament to our
commitment to fostering positive change and economic growth in Kanungu
District.
The Sparrow Community Foundation, with its focus on creating opportunities and
improving livelihoods, particularly for the youth, is poised to make a significant
impact. We at Centenary Bank are honored to be part of its inception and growth,
and we look forward to continuing our collaboration to bring about sustainable
development in the region.
Together, we are building a brighter future for the people of Kanungu, one that is
filled with hope, opportunity, and prosperity.
